I provide patent prosecution, licensing, and litigation services as a part of a dynamic team.

Advent LLP (2010 – 2013)
Joined a start-up intellectual property practice in June, 2010, as it’s second attorney.  The firm quickly grew to be one of the largest IP practices in the region.

Husch Blackwell LLP (2007-2010)
Continued to provide intellectual property counseling and services to a variety of small and large clients with an emphasis on early stage companies and entrepreneurs looking to commercialize their ideas, identify potential partners and collaborators, and minimize risks posed by the patent rights of others

Foley & Lardner LLP (2004 – 2007)
Drafted and prosecuted patent applications in the areas of food chemistry, process design and control, medical devices, chemical formulations, automotive components, oil and gas production, and consumer products.

Drafted and negotiated IP agreements including licenses and research agreements.

Provided litigation support, counseling, and drafted opinions regarding validity and infringement.

Represented clients before the Patent and Trademark office in reexaminations and appeals.

University of Iowa College of Law, (2002-2003)
Research Assistant to Professor Herbert Hovenkamp. Among other topics, I researched antitrust issues related to reverse payments in patent litigation settlements.
